- I wouldn't be surprised to see one or more of Trump's Missouri district court nominees (Divine, in particular) eventually elevated to the Eighth Circuit. They're all young appellate practitioners, and two Missouri-based CA8 judges could retire during Trump's term.
- Just a reminder that all four district court vacancies occurred during the Biden administration, but Republican senators, emboldened by Senator Durbin's blue slip policy, refused to cooperate with the White House to fill these seats.
