Andy Gavin, The Co-Creator of Crash Bandicoot, Said That The Team at Naughty Dog saw the Commercial, and thought Fake Crash was so funny that they decided to make him have a Cameo / Easter Egg in Wrapped (Crash 3). When He Saw The plush set, he laughed for 30 Minutes and the marketing team didn't.

Afterwards, Fake Crash started to become a recurring character within the Franchise, Not Only In Promotional Material, But Being A Playable Character In CTR, CNK, The Japan Version of Crash Bash.
