- Because I'm afraid of losing everything in floods or fires, I've decided to digitize absolutely all my family photos from ≃40 years ago (a little less paper photos in the last 15 years). It takes time, but when it's done, I'll be glad I did it!

- I wanted to buy a printer specifically, but it's prohibitively expensive, especially since I wouldn't need it after I'm done. I opted to scan each photo and then cut it out. I'm storing it in a MacOS Photo Library that I can easily share with my family after sorting/filtering/naming the photos.
- My current office for doing this. A MacBook, a printer, coffee, music, and that's pretty much it.
- I have a little over 4500 paper photos to scan (2 full high boxes of photos), and I have done 500 so far (in 3 days), it takes time, especially since I do it one by one, and a photo scan on my current printer takes about 1 minute and 30 seconds.
