Word to the wise: if you were hoping to get invited on a podcast (maybe you were not!) don't go around blocking the hosts of podcasts that invite people on your beat to come talk.
Someone I don't know personally, only by their work, who seemed a possible guest for a possible topic, I was doing preliminary investigations and... I guess I offended this person or by-association did or some such (again, don't know them) so there went that plan.
Feb 24, 2025 16:55The third party blocklists are particularly bad for this. I've been inadvertently blocked by at least one person I know personally, apparently because they subscribed to a blocklist of people who follow bad people.
