Reporters are always trying to make something of nothing. They are half the problem.

I would say its not nothing to Canadians who are sick of Trumps real life threats as well as his childish trolling.

You missed my point. The reporter wanted to get the response Trump shared with Mark, when he asked him to stop with the 51st State nonsense. It’s not important what Trump said back, she’s just digging for dirt and ready to make more of it than is necessary. Mark made his point. The rest is academic.

I like to hear the specific lie in his own words so I can casually ask my super MAGA parents about it next time he does exactly the opposite. It helps to be able to point out when he lied or made a false promise. Mark was clearly leaving something out. I would have asked the same thing.

I suggest that there are hundreds of other examples you could use to prove your point. These questions about what was specifically said are cultivating… mistrust? If that’s the right word.
