Saturday, May 10 is Stamp Out Hunger Day, when you can leave a bag of non-perishable food near your mailbox and USPS will deliver it to the local food bank for you.

It happens every single year and has for many years! Set a reminder in your phone for next year 😊 my food bank does a few spots on local radio but generally don't spend much on advertising
That makes sense! I asked local friends if they’d heard anything and they said it’s run by the NALC (natl assoc of letter carriers), not USPS, and not all post offices were doing it.
Yeah, that's true. Most of the ones near me participate, so I kind of overlooked that.
Yep, no towns around me were participating, which is probably for the best because our mail carriers are older and limpy 🥴. Not sure they could manage carrying grocery donations.
