- the thing about the “town square” analogy as it pertains to social media is that it actually does work. it’s just that “town square” meaning “saying anything to anyone without repercussions” is ridiculous. try going up to a stranger in public and saying something weird and see what happens.

- We have a table of the variables that Anubis expressions can use in the docs: anubis.techaro.lol/docs/admin/c... More will be added soon, but we cut scope so that we can ship fast and iterate based on feedback
- When we add the hivemind reputation database to Anubis, it will be through the expression subsystem. This will also enable you to add or remove "request weight" on the fly depending on your administrative requirements. Expressions make Anubis truly hackable.
- In #Anubis, this means you can make rules like this: Allow requests if all of these conditions are true: * The path starts with /api/ * There is an Authorization header * The Authorization header body starts with Bearer eyJ so you know that the user is using a JSON Web Token
- This lets you make rules as complicated or as simple as you want:
- The big thing this adds is matching requests against expressions using CEL: cel.dev Think about CEL as the return body of a lambda function, the condition of an if statement, or the WHERE clause in SQL
