The hypocrisy is off the charts.
No police officers died on January 6 or as a result of it. Continuing this lie is and example why Dems lost. It is easily verifiable. Some of the events that took place were reprehensible, and those people should not have been pardoned, but lying and overstating fact invalidates valid points.
I keep seeing comments like this and it confuses me. Why can republicans lie about everything all the time, but dems lose if they exaggerate?
To answer your question more directly, I think that Reps lies aren't as obvious and usually stem from some truths.
The "very good people" lie is a good example of dems continuing to say something after most people have seen the video for themselves and he clearly doesn't mean the neo-nazis.
Whereas, Trump saying that he will open the waterways in CA to fight fires is based on the fact that they indeed needed more water, and while his plan was foolish, it at least had the appearance of action. It's also harder to track down the truthfulness over simply watching the video for yourself.
