when I was little cilantro was horrific to me. soapy, but also metallic. I just kept trying over the years, and now I fucking love it. The gene can be conquered.

I always think it tastes "bright," or as an old man I used to take care of once said "green" in a way I can kinda see being *related* to soap but you know... good and not like soap. I always wonder if I have the gene
