I can't top this one.
Corruption requires explict quid pro quo. It is not corrupt to take an action that aligns with the interest of a person who gives you a gift, unless the official action was in direct response to that gift--a bribe. Terms matter. Accuracy and fairness matters. Regardless of what social media wants.

Eric Lipton, ball washer.
I am almost certain Lipton is either trolling for clicks, he's farming for block list members, and/or has a humiliation fetish.
There's no way he's this stupid.
His own employer's ethics policy forbids whst he says isn't corruption, for fuck's sake
Driving
@nytpitchbot.bsky.social out of business.
This one comes so close to topping it, if I hadn't been looking at the NYT, I'd have thought it was from you.
Eric Lipton isn't even a lawyer...much less an expert in this field...so my opinion is as valuable as his...and I say it's corruption at its core. Fuck off Eric...and take the formerly credible NYT with you
In fairness he was trying badly to clarify the use of the word potentially in a previous post
That's a lot of words for, "I volunteer as an accomplice to fascism."
Wow.
Whether it is Hunter Biden selling a collection of paintings, or Donald Trump handling significant business in the UAE and brazenly accepting a $400M private jet from Qatar, both sides are corrupting our democracy.
