The FBI and CIA have put a lot of focus on far-right groups since the 90s. They absolutely monitor leftist groups as well, but leftists, for the most part, aren't usually infiltrated. There's no need to. Most leftist groups are immature and unlikely to really do anything, and aren't a threat.

You're out of your goddamn mind if you think far-right groups have gotten more government attention than Palestinian liberation groups over the past couple years or BLM-type criminal justice reform groups over the past decade.

Because they're not. Most leftist groups since the 90s haven't been because they're not a "threat" in any real sense. Obviously some have and still do. It's still a thing. But not nearly at the rate of the 50s and 60s, and that's partly because today leftists are ineffective and don't have influence

It increased for BLM. It did not increase for leftist groups as a whole. BLM isn't the only leftist org out there, and it's hardly an org so much as its a movement of different orgs, some of whom were ineffective while others were effective.
