Being out of work going on nine months probably isn’t helping but goddamn the new season of Light & Magic is heartbreaking

Ending on the 2023 shuttering of Kerner is a huge middle finger from Johnston and I am here for it. My first job out of college had me standing on that same stage.

(though obv there’s no mention of the Disney sale or ILM shifting most creative work overseas)

I also love that doc just because I am still marveled by VFX work. One of my biggest pet peeves are when my peers/colleagues (who should know better) trash VFX work as "lazy" or any other such nonsense. They think because they know something is VFX that means its "bad." VFX artists make miracles.
