- I really don't see how rights are irrelevant because the economy is all that matters. Even if you think the economy is by far the most important thing, rights are a crucial part of a well-functioning economy. The White House's attack on rights in the US is bad on it's own AND harming the economy.
- Klobuchar on Stephen Miller saying the administration is considering suspending habeas corpus: "He's doing it because they don't want to focus on what's really in front of them, and that they have created havoc in our economy ... no, they're not gonna reverse habeas corpus in the Congress."

- There’s a whole theory that Harris lost because she shifted the focus from economic issues (where she was doing well) to legal and constitutional ones. I’ve heard Rahm Emanuel making that case.
- Rights absolutely do matter; I don’t think she’s saying they don’t. But virtually every swing voter who flipped to Trump prioritizes economy over rights.
