- [Ironic but kind of sincere underneath] Not to be a theory guy, but if we all started posting like the Elcor from Mass Effect spoke, we’d prevent a lot of issues online.
- It's not cheating the system. It’s recognizing the system is a simulation and learning to exploit its weak spots, which is exactly how you're supposed to win in America. The digital equivalent of buying a ghostwritten essay, now scaled for the masses with a monthly subscription model.
- Slop is in the eye of the beholder. Today's discourse is, again, determining authorial intent behind thought autocomplete, except we're realizing that most people aren't actually very bright. Or, maybe, not hyper-literate the way we are online. We are not normal here.
- Reposted by neutralInstead of ensuring that everyone had their basic needs met and could live comfortably no matter what they happen to do with their lives, we convinced ourselves that schools were magic boxes that would solve inequality for us fairly instead.
