Did a St. Paul hanami (flower viewing) with

I really like the idea of making an occasion out of enjoying the seasonal flowers and we both love lilacs. There are a few cherry trees in Como Park but we missed that bloom, and then last week we talked about going out to picnic under the blooming crabapple but were both too busy.
This week we made it work! And Lyda knew where to find a satisfying quantity of lilac bushes. (Summit Ave, the boulevard strip between the bridge over Ayd Mill and Lexington Ave.)
