- I understand ppl preferring to read stories about mature MCs, but some danmei readers don't seem to realise that the maturity of the characters depends more on the writer's skill than on the stated age of the character
- and honestly the maturity of the writing is much more important than the maturity of the character, to me
- that is to say, a well-written immature character will be more interesting and worth reading than a flatly written but purportedly mature character
- for example, the way wuzhe depicts the fu family in zmlm... the MCs as young kids and the way adults/older kids behave around them... all of that
