- I don't have an exact publication date for this statement, but it's been out there for a few weeks (I mentioned it in my April 28 story). Mutual-defense compacts are also likely to come up in a meeting of Big Ten leaders at the end of the month. www.chronicle.com/article/more...
- Update on #HigherEd mutual-defense compact resolutions: In the Big Ten, Northwestern and UW-Madison adopted last week. Elsewhere, UConn, UMass Boston + Lowell, Western Washington, Miami (OH), Stockton, SUNY Plattsburgh, CUNY, Lehman, and Kingsborough CC did the same, per @krforde.bsky.social and co.
- At @wearehighered.bsky.social, @mwyarbrough.bsky.social has 38 total MADCs passed nationwide, adding Whitman College, the Colorado State student senate, and several CUNY campuses to the list. More votes scheduled this month, though the pace may slow as senate bodies adjourn for the summer.
