Mute Lists (hiatus)
Mute lists in various states of completion. Slowed down now that everything is done by hand.
The goal of these lists is to make Bluesky a less stressful place to be.
- The Jesse Singal labeler is broken. Don't use it.
- I've been on hiatus and haven't been updating the lists since I need to do them all by hand. If you were previously tagged incorrectly for following someone (Wu, Singal, Loomer), let me know. All other lists? Read the description again. If it applies to you, you stay on the list. 🙂
- It's ironic for me to post this, but it's worth knowing. There are a LOT of malicious lists on bsky. I recommend you use lists to mute rather than block. Blocking is public info that can be weaponized against you If you mute accounts, you have a better chance to check on the affected content.
- Check out the automated lists at this account. It has mute/block lists for accounts that follow 5k, 7k, & 10k. Some other good lists in there. bsky.app/profile/auto...
- I'm slowly working on a mute (or block) list for blue wave/resist accounts and also accounts that mass follow. Since I have to do these by hand, its an ongoing process. I consider anyone who follows approx. 5,000 accounts or more to "mass follow." (Mass follow list in next post.)
