- Exactly the same here. But our shopping centres on a smaller scale with a very limited choice of products. At least we still have banks. The surrounding towns in the nearest 30 miles lost their banking facilities years ago.

- Aye I live in a 70s 'new town'.They tore the heart out of the community and built lots of factories and houses.It brought in jobs until the council stopped the incentives for private companies to relocate here.All the big companies left as soon as the money dried up.The new housings now slum housing
- Will it be projects funded by government given to outside companies? Then there is little advantage for local people. Tarting up a town is superficial. Projects should be manned by local people. Then money would flow to local people and to local businesses.
