Becoming a mom really did solidify my belief in communism. Everyone (is supposed to) feels like their child is precious and special to them, and I have that same natural instinct to protect and care for my child, but logically, the best way for my child to be safe, is if all children are.
I can’t really say that my child is actually more important than any other even if they are more important to me, but beyond that it just doesn’t make sense to want to bring any innocent children into a world where they have to compete to survive. I just don’t think that’s what we’re here for.
And so, if we are serious about caring about children, and all children, every child born, the only way to ensure every child is fed, housed, educated, and has healthcare, is if every adult is as well.
This isn’t about which exact theory or model is correct, but about the true base of our philosophy behind why we want change for the better for everyone. We were all babies and not all of us got the care we needed as children, we have to always want better for the kids.
happy mother's day, you rule 😍💜
