first draft of the Virtue's Heaven history posts clocks in at around 3000 words.
Still debating if I post if all at once, or split it into parts, but I still want to see if I can get it all a bit shorter.
May 5, 2025 14:43In early 2020 I seem to have written something like an "anti-metroidvania" manifesto.
I'm much less judgy about this stuff, but I still like this particular quote:
“A Metroidvania is a game where a stranger enters a space and violently takes ownership of it.”
(this is also why Metroid 2 is the best Metroid game, because it understands this)
