- Updated picture of my studio. Everything is plugged in and can be controlled from the Kross, Numa, or Sledge. The new stand even gives me the option to add another small synth next to the Odyssey (not really in the budget but fun to dream). #musicsky #LFK #synthesizers #dawless
- I am here at the Warehouse on Broadway to see HEALTH. It's been nearly a decade since the last time I saw them. Super excited!
- We're not in Kansas anymore, Toto, but what if we were? Dummy at the White Schoolhouse. #lfk #musicsky #neopsychedelia
- Our event is so cool it even has a second poster. If you're in northeastern Kansas, check us out a week from today! Not our first show, and it damn well better not be our last, but it might be one that you'll regret missing. What a stacked lineup #LFK #Dreampop #Shoegaze #SpaceRock
- This.
- Reposted by MoeThe White House. The actual White House. This is the attitude of every abuser, who is now fearful of the consequences of their abuse.
- Reposted by MoeThank you all. Clem loved what he was doing. He lived his dream
- Let it be known that 2025 was the year I did my taxes ahead of the deadline and did not have any kind of meltdown. It was even accepted by the IRS. Is this growing up? I scheduled a whole day off work for this. What do I do now? lol

- Taking a break from more thoughtful posting just because of burnout and general dread, but I thought I'd share a picture of my revised synth pedalboard. I've been thinking with it all evening, and I think this'll work. Glad I finally found a use for the Ringmaster #musicsky #synthesizer #lfk
- I had said that I would try to avoid repeats, but it was quite a while ago that I featured Beach House, so I choose Victoria Legrand for day 31 of this challenge. My appreciation has grown with each release, but this is the song that made me a fan #MusicChallenge #MusicSky #31GreatWomenMusicians
- Video game music played a big role in my interest in electronic music, so it's only fitting that for the last day of this challenge that I go with an electronic tune from a game. Hotline Miami's soundtrack was full of great tracks but this is my favorite #MusicChallenge #ElectronicTunes #Musicsky
- While her music seems to at least be critically acclaimed, I feel that Alison Goldfrapp's name does not come up nearly often enough. Felt Mountain was practically a masterpiece, and even her subsequent more pop-oriented work is a lot of fun #MusicChallenge #MusicSky #31GreatWomenMusicians
- While he's best known for his work on soundtracks, some of Vangelis' best work is divorced from that shackles of that context. Heaven and Hell is a very imaginative album on the whole. This song, in particular, is just beautiful, even Jon Anderson's vocals #MusicChallenge #ElectronicTunes #Musicsky
- As a Midwesterner, I grew up thinking all the cool music came from elsewhere, but that isn't true. You just have to dig deeper, and I've found some really cool bands just by going to shows. I loved seeing Kudzu and wore the tape out from playing it so much #MusicChallenge #ElectronicTunes #Musicsky
- An artist who I have my eyes on is Gloria de Oliveira. When I heard that she was collaborating with Twin Peaks' sound designer, my interest was piqued. The resulting album wasn't perfect, but it was unique. Looking forward to whatever comes next #MusicChallenge #MusicSky #31GreatWomenMusicians
- Reposted by MoeThe old punk told me that lately when people see his mask they ask if he’s wearing it to fight fascism or to fight the virus, and when I asked how he responds, the old punk explained that whether you’re fighting fascism or a virus what you have to do is take care of other people.
- Post the first video game you remember playing. This is a weird one because we only ever had Nintendo consoles, but the first game I played was Sonic. A pizza place called Aladdin's Palace had a Game Gear at every seat, and I loved playing this. Soon after my dad got his NES back from my cousins
- Widely considered an industrial rock band, some of KMFDM's best stuff leans in a dancier or more electronic direction. This was always one of my favorite tracks by them, and while it has some heavy riffs, they're almost more like a sound effect #MusicChallenge #ElectronicTunes #Musicsky
- I could never quite get into the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, but Karen O's vocals were undeniable. Sure enough, I've enjoyed some of her side projects very much. My favorite song to include her is this David Lynch track. She has such a range #MusicChallenge #MusicSky #31GreatWomenMusicians
- Broadcast were a band that really should have been bigger, and Trish Keenan's contributions were absolutely essential to the project. She was tragically taken too soon, but her legacy lives on. Also check out her Mindbending Motorway Mix, if you can #MusicChallenge #MusicSky #31GreatWomenMusicians
- Tangerine Dream are one of those artists that seems so obvious to include that you might think wouldn't be much to say. On the contrary, I think they're a misunderstood group. Not just experimental pioneers, they could write great songs, as seen here #MusicChallenge #ElectronicTunes #Musicsky
- My cat showed a lot of interest in this soda until I got my phone out to take a picture. Then of course he immediately ran off. Oh well here's a picture anyway
- Soft Cell are one of those bands that really had a lot more going on than people realized. Far from just "Tainted Love," they had so many great songs and in some ways laid the template for synthpop to come. They also had a dark side that may surprise some #MusicChallenge #ElectronicTunes #Musicsky
- One of my favorite bands is Slowdive, and though she is not the main songwriter, the band just wouldn't be the same without Rachel Goswell. Particularly in more recent years, her voice provides such a nice counterpoint to Neil's lower vocals #MusicChallenge #MusicSky #31GreatWomenMusicians

- St. Vincent immediately stood out from other indie pop in the late 00s, but over time each effort has been wholly uncompromising in its artist vision. I haven't loved everything she's done but All Born Screaming was one of my favorites of last year #MusicChallenge #MusicSky #31GreatWomenMusicians
- It's hard to articulate just why Blackbird Blackbird was so appealing to me, but I could not stop listening when it came out. Even now, its hazy production and twinkling synths feels just right to me. Perhaps, being a hidden gem makes it that much better #MusicChallenge #ElectronicTunes #Musicsky

- I could never quite get into The Knife when they were actually active. The vocals just seemed a little too out there to me, but as I put it to a friend, I guess I am now just in my weird phase. It suddenly made sense and entered my regular rotation #MusicChallenge #ElectronicTunes #Musicsky
- With so many great dream pop bands, you might think that I would get bored with them, but I never do. One of my recent favorites is You'll Never Get to Heaven, & Alice Hansen's vocals (and sometimes piano) are beautiful and keep the project grounded #MusicChallenge #MusicSky #31GreatWomenMusicians
- There's so much great music in the world, that it's no wonder that some things get lost in the shuffle. Nonetheless, it's great that Sibylle Baier's work eventually saw the light of day. Colour Green would have been a classic in the 70s or the 00s #MusicChallenge #MusicSky #31GreatWomenMusicians
- John Grant's shift from folk pop to synthpop seemed to throw a lot of people. It was always going to be hard to live up to Queen of Denmark, but I think Pale Green Ghosts was a worthy successor. I don't mind the change in style, and the songs are good #MusicChallenge #ElectronicTunes #Musicsky
- What albums came out when you were 21?
- I've had a bit of a love/hate relationship with Animal Collective, but Merriweather Post Pavilion just somehow hit the spot. I couldn't stop listening to it when it was released. It still holds up even now with a nice balance between pop and psychedlic #MusicChallenge #ElectronicTunes #Musicsky
- I think few can deny Tina Weymouth's contributions to Talking Heads. They're one of my favorites, but she's really a great musician in her own right. If anything, her work in the Tom Tom Club is quite underrated. It goes a lot deeper than the hits #MusicChallenge #MusicSky #31GreatWomenMusicians
- Marissa Nadler is another one of those artists that I just don't seem to hear enough about. I've always loved her vocals, and I like that while, most of her music is folk-based, she isn't afraid to experiment. She's also extremely prolific #MusicChallenge #MusicSky #31GreatWomenMusicians
- Destroyer is certainly a chameleonic act, shifting from style to style with the only constant being Dan Bejar's vocals, but I've enjoyed just about everything they've done. Their album Ken seems to have divided opinions, but it's one of my favorites #MusicChallenge #ElectronicTunes #Musicsky
- It's amazing just how many great ethereal wave artists have come about in the past few years. I had thought the genre was dead. SRSQ is certainly one of the premier artists of this style, but I especially liked her early work with Them Are Us Too #MusicChallenge #MusicSky #31GreatWomenMusicians
- I think most people recognize that Giorgio was a groundbreaking producer, but I think even much of the pop music released under his own name was pretty great. From Here to Eternity is before my time, but it grew to be one of my all-time favorite albums #MusicChallenge #ElectronicTunes #Musicsky
- Reposted by MoeOne of my Radical Leftist opinions is the government shouldn't be able to deprive anyone of life, liberty, or property without due process of law
- Fad Gadget is a band that I would say is underrated, but the reality is that most people simply don't know them. While they definitely weren't as accessible as some synthpop, I appreciate them for pushing the genre forward and incorporating harsher sounds #MusicChallenge #ElectronicTunes #Musicsky
- What I love about Spellling is just how uncompromising her music is, effortlessly switching between pop songs to more artsy material to even tracks that are downright dark. And wouldn't you know it? A new album with her new band is coming very soon! #MusicChallenge #MusicSky #31GreatWomenMusicians
- There's not much I can say about Nine Inch Nails that won't have been said before. Suffice it to say that they were a huge influence on my tastes and were instrumental in helping me to break away from the grunge and metal that dominated my youth #MusicChallenge #ElectronicTunes #Musicsky
- I had been aware of Molly Nilsson's music for years but only recently dug into her deeper catalog . This was clearly a mistake. Her work is so consistent. I also appreciate her efforts to engage with fans. Not many musicians will write you a letter #MusicChallenge #MusicSky #31GreatWomenMusicians
- When first checking out new wave, I wrote off A Flock of Seagulls as a two or three-hit wonder, but I've recently begun to come around to their deeper catalog. This track is somewhat derivative but more complete as a song and still has that signature sound #MusicChallenge #ElectronicTunes #Musicsky
- There are some musicians who just seem to be born into the wrong era. Cate le Bon's music reminds me so much of the psych and glam rock of the 60s and 70s, but she has her own unique lyricism that helps to avoid being derivative. Well worth a look #MusicChallenge #MusicSky #31GreatWomenMusicians
- While I do enjoy some of the more metal-oriented versions of Ministry, their early days of playing synthpop and EBM are underrated. Twitch particularly feels like a unique take on the style. I wish they had explored this territory a bit longer #MusicChallenge #ElectronicTunes #Musicsky
- I played Joker's Daughter debut album a lot when it came out. With the Danger Mouse production, I thought that she would at least be critically acclaimed, but hardly anyone seems to remember her. A reminder of how fickle the music industry can be #MusicChallenge #MusicSky #31GreatWomenMusicians
