- Someone told me years ago to always assume that the minority people in your professional field are *likely* already familiar with one another before you rush in to be the great minority matchmaker. Anyway, someone just magnanimously offered to introduce me to my uncle.
- I had not thought of this. My experience has been limited to the opposite, folks assuming all the minority people are acquainted. Like my dad telling my Black friend, "My girlfriend's Black, her name is Mary, do you know her?"
