- Great to see investigative journalism win. The costs, though, financially, emotionally, in terms of time and exhaustion, are too much. We desperately need to properly overhaul defamation laws in this country. #auspol
- 1. The new #Pope, Leo XIV: “We want to be…always seeking peace, charity, closeness, especially to those who are suffering.” Many survivors of child abuse suffer. Expensive church lawyers fight their cases with technical defences to thwart compensation for a lifetime of pain caused by bad clergy.
- Media Watch. Sharri. 🧐
- Laura: “The Coalition resorted to anti-immigration sentiment, attempted to fuel irritation with welcomes to country…spoke about a woke school curriculum & raged about hate media. It prosecuted all these points with.. support of News Corp's newspapers &..Sky News. newsapp.abc.net.au/news/2025-05...
- Just wanted to say how proud I am of my colleagues (in no particular order) Annabel Crabb, Bridget Brennan, Sarah Ferguson and Patricia Karvelas tonight. The ABC has such talented, smart women. Professional, fair, smart, incisive. The guys were also great but I just want to celebrate these women.
- Oh loving @antonygreenelec.bsky.social listening to this wrap of how excellent he is.
- “The quiet Australians are the young Australians.” Patricia Karvelas.
- What we do in Australia is we treat people with respect. @albomp.bsky.social
- Anthony Albanese pays his respect to the traditional owners of the land in which he stands, today and every day. #auspol
- Sarah Ferguson is on fire tonight.
- David Speers just now: “That would be the lowest Coalition vote ever.”
- Seven has just said “Peter Dutton is in big, big trouble”.
- My goodness. #australiavotes
- This politics nerd is looking forward to the carnival tomorrow, come what may. It’s our Christmas, once every three years. Should be every four & fixed terms, but that’s another conversation. We’re so lucky in Aus to have compulsory voting, preferential system. Happy election all. #auspol 🌭🌭🌭🍿🍿🍿

- Thank you kindly.
- Reposted by Louise MilliganGreat episode and essential viewing in this last week of the election campaign. #auspol
- I wish to place on the record that we had multiple Coaltion shadow ministers who cheerfully agreed to interviews and then mysteriously pulled out. We really wanted to interview Peter Dutton. It’s a shame he wouldn’t speak to us. Grateful to Senator Andrew Bragg.

- BREAKING THREAD: 1. Cost of living’s at forefront of #auspol election, so 4 Corners did deep dive into the PM & Opposition Leader’s finances. Analysing complicated document maze, we found Peter Dutton failed to declare to parliament he was beneficiary of family trust. www.abc.net.au/news/2025-04...
- THREAD: It’s devastating to contemplate Virginia Giuffre is the second Epstein victim to die long before her time. I’ve known & told the stories of many victims of powerful abusers who died young. We don’t talk about this enough. Suicides, drug overdoses, deaths associated with alcoholism.
- It’s a week till election night. Next Saturday also marks a huge end of an era with the last election for @antonygreenelec.bsky.social. What a marvellous service he has done for the nation. I propose a minute’s silence from politics nerds around the country to give him thanks. #auspol ⭐️
