I think the foundational decision to have as much screen time for /waves hands/ all of this in-universe time as Ferrix - removing the luxury of flashbacks and E F G plots/characters - is the whole issue
Yes! The trying to cram 5 years into one season via time jumps is doing this show dirty.
Still the best thing Disney Star Wars has done, but it did itself no favors.
