- DALLAS - Mark Chipman paced back and forth in the hallway. Kevin Cheveldayoff and Larry Simmons stood silently with grim looks on their faces. - The story, yes. Did you read it? As mentioned, reporters don't write headlines, which is what you were coming at me with. This was a game story about his playoff shutout.
- Some soundbites from the #NHLJets room here in Dallas. Connor Hellebuyck on the first goal: “I had a clean enough look. It was just a damn perfect shot, just above my pad and below my glove. I don’t know. I need to review it, see it again.”

View full thread#NHLJets Scott Arniel on the message: “Real simple. Don’t lose your last game. We’re going to have to go home and win the next one so we come back here. We’ve got to get the job done, focus in on this next game. Work to make sure that we get ourselves back here to Dallas for a Game 6.”
- #NHLJets Connor Hellebuyck: “I leave it all out there every night. I’m doing my best. Sometimes it’s a heartbreak. All it takes is one little change, one little bounce and things can start going our way. We’re a good team, so we can really rack ( wins) up. Just got to worry (about) one at a time.”
- #NHLJets Scott Arniel on Connor Hellebuyck's play: “Probably wants the one back, the first one, the wrister coming in." "But at the end of the day, we’ve got to get him some run support. He’ll do his job. We’ve got to get him some run support."
- #NHLJets Nikolaj Ehlers on 9 straight playoff road losses: “If I had the answer to why, we would have gotten one at some point. I don’t know. I actually thought we played a really good game. I think at the end of the day, we got to score on our chances. That's as simple as that."
- just a tad premature on this call Mike? 🤔
- Reporters don't write headlines, and nowhere in the story did I say anything beyond his performance in that one game, where he was excellent.
