And this is why Starmer will never out-Reform Reform.
He could give the whole Rivers of Blood speech and the Enoch Powell fan clubs would reject him.
They’ve picked their man for their uncompromising rhetoric… all Starmer is doing is losing his base by showing he’s unprincipled on any position.
May 13, 2025 14:00Starmer is a Blairite; a classic corporatist and establishmentarian. It's time the Brits took a stand against fascism. Farage is the unacceptable face of fascism while Starmer is its acceptable face. While the media is controlled by populist fascists and people suck-up the tropes, nothing changes.

What Starmer is saying by trying to out-Reform Reform is “I think Farage is right but I don’t want you to vote for him”. The problem is that no matter how much u hate Farage, he does have a narrative. “Britain is in a mess because of too many immigrants”. What is Starmer’s narrative?

Starmer seems pretty clueless. He is certainly gutless and has no integrity.
Starmer can insist all he likes that Powell equivalences were never & still not the intention. But to stand by the comments when so many have (rightly or wrongly) taken false equivalence in Starmers eyes, is stubborn headed. What matters is the perception not what you actually said. Words matter.
