We deserved much more. The AG’s job as chief officer of our country is to protect its citizens. He did no such thing and Biden should have replaced him.. but didn’t want to look partisan.

While Garland might have worked with more exigence, we cannot ignore the 3 other factors 1) the J6 committee sat on its hands for months w/out sharing evidence w/ special Counsel. While the J6 comm built the public case, their delays sharing prevented critical evidence from the LEGAL case.
2) the USSC delayed their ruling in immunity for many months which was abjectly corrupt and significantly affected the types of possible charges, wasting Jack Smith’s team’s time and efforts

And for gross negligence and incompetence, which resulted in delivering the country into tyranny and chaos, I assume Garland is now living out his golden years on a cushy government pension in peace, quiet and total comfort.
He should be rotting in prison for treason, facilitating Trump's coup.
Preventing Trump from ascending to the presidency again may have been top of mind for the establishment. January 6 illustrated just how fanatical his base can be when faced with perceived electoral corruption.
His base is the personification of a powder keg; and he holds the match.
