- and let’s you use services like @tangled.sh without being tied to one company like with Google sign on. It’s what Mastodon missed and your identity there is incredibly fragile and at the whims of the system operator. The future is looking bright and this is what the web was supposed to be. 2/2
- Thinking about it further the PDS lets you traverse the web through time too. Who you are is stored in it and traverses with you through the ages and through which services you use. Even if say Bluesky goes down permanently your posts aren’t lost forever. You’re not locked into Twitter
