View full threadThere's the magic. All right there. My whole transition routine layed out and demystified. This is the big boogeyman. The Great Satan we're all supposed to fear and dread and reject. A basic medication regiment and some basic grooming. This is what a portion of America wants to kill me for.
- I hope this puts into perspective how deranged the anti-trans lynch mob are. How hyperbolic and ridiculous their framing of trans healthcare really is. That this isn't worth sacrificing for right wing clout. That we have a right to something so simple and harmless and confort in our bodies.
- I hope this helps somebody somewhere understand the simplicity of what I'm doing. What so many of us are doing, or fighting for the chance to do. I hope people get that it's not this arcane dangerous painful crushing thing. You don't have to be afraid of it, or over think it.
- Low maintenance. Pretty much just take Spironolactone in the AM, and the second dose with the Progesterone. Do my injections on a day I'll definitely remember (Wednesday for me because I watch AEW Dynamite after my poke) Very easy to keep track of.
- Outside of the medical aspect, I also exfoliate daily with a Japanese bath towel and anti bacterial bar soap to keep body acne in check. Pumice my feet daily and finish with lotion Moisturize my body every other day. Wash wigs bi weekly. PRN nail care. Basic ass shit.
- There's a noticeable difference between how injectable estrogen is effecting me over oral estrogen. Oral was a little slower for me. Didn't see results until about 6 months or so. Was also on a gatekept baby dose at the beginning so it's hard to say if there's really a difference.
- My current regiment is a weekly 100mg 1 milliliter Estradiol injections to the outter thigh. This is done with a 1.5 inch needle that is usually pretty painless. Most pain is of low intensity and for a short duration 100mg of Spironolactone twice daily. 200 mg of Progesterone once before bed.
- Was/Am happy and healthy and beautiful on either route. It's all the same shit at the end of the day. The outright best method/route to take your hormones is whichever is most accessible to you. There's no best or better. Just what works with you and what doesn't.
- Skin is the softest it has ever been. My acne has improved, and my pores are a bit smaller. Hair is finer and softer. Easier to shave and takes longer to grow in. Can go a day between shaves if I do my makeup right (as shown above) My head hair isn't changing. Still using wigs.
