- I said what I said about, "We elect him to fight him on his homelessness policy positions" (🤔Although his recent self-owns with his own base on issues other than homelessness may make him unelectable...) Some of the homeless folk about to get swept, lost their homes in the Altadena fire.
- Are you ready to sweep this woman's things if you catch her between hotel stays? Are you ready to throw her last possessions in the trash? Charge her for "camping in public" if she takes a nap in a park with her stuff? Throw away her proof of citizenship, knowing ICE is "deporting" citizens?
- No one likes homelessness. *Especially* not homeless people themselves. Everyone wants to fight homelessness. Everyone. The difference is that people that see homeless people as flawed individuals so different than themselves, tend to gravitate towards punitive, carceral, non-solutions.
- This is great! I see a lot of amateur crime stats folk in Greg's mentions, wondering about the cause. 🤔 Is it that people are less bored, and have less time for delinquency? 🤔Is it that library patrons as nosey lookey-loos, reporting all crime? I don't think these are bad faith questions but...

- But I do think that they come from 2 primary causes: 1) The belief that petty criminals are somehow different than the rest of us "good" people. We would never burglarize or assault someone! 2) Most Americans have absolutely no clue how much of USA's social services are provided by libraries. 🤷🏿♂️

- Kanye's nazism brings one of the weirdest aspects of US racism to the forefront: He's like the one vocal influential Black nazi. He pals around with white nazis. Visceral reaction to Kanye, quiet on his pals? "They can hate us! That's just free speech. But not you! You're Black! That's too much!🤡"
- Checking in on "The race to replace." Exports from China to other countries were *up* 8.1% YOY in April. Up. They increased. Exports to the US from China decreased 21%. China just sold their stuff to other places. Art of the Deal!
