- Video matters. While TikTok is growing, YouTube remains incredibly popular with older audiences. Why? Videos are engaging, easy to follow and perfect for storytelling.
- Facebook is the top choice for older adults in the UK. Many use it to stay connected with family and friends. Facebook Groups (local areas, niche causes) provide consistent, accessible engagement with this generation. Don’t overlook them!

- Experiment and find your best time 📊 These insights are a great starting point, but every audience is unique! Test different times and use scheduling tools to discover what works best for you.
- Best days: Wednesday and Thursday 📅 According to Sprout Social, Wednesdays and Thursdays are now the prime days for posting charity content on TikTok. Aim to share your impactful stories mid-week for optimal engagement.
- Peak hours: 11am - 3pm ⏰ Mid-morning to afternoon is when TikTok users are most active and engaged with charity content - especially when everyone is scrolling on their lunch break!
- Firstly, it's important to note that consistency is key on TikTok, and whilst these times give you a higher rate of success, they are not the only factor!
