- here's a little nugget that most people don't know or understand: Gmail ignores periods in email addresses. the email addresses georgejones@gmail.com, george.jones@gmail.com and g.e.o.r.g.e.j.o.n.e.s@gmail.com all route the exact same way. something to think about.
