- One of my uni English profs was a grumpy old man w proper British accent. First 2 weeks, what an ass. By drop week, he'd reduced size of large class by half. Still strict but hinted now he can give us proper attention now...and man I learned a lot about writing and structure in that class.

- Who's enforcing these firings? I mean, were it me, I'd laugh and come to work anyway? I guess paychecks could be halted since Treasury isn't legislative...otoh, I'd assume there's a congress-approved budget. So unless there's a 'boss' higher up who'd say 'leave', these folks could just ignore it?
- Oh, come on! Trump just fired the Director of the US Copyright Office two days after he fired the Librarian of Congress. Notably, that office is ALSO inside the Legislative branch. The White House should NOT dictate legislative branch staff. Rep. @morelle.house.gov shared the news here.

- I think folks are really misreading and/or over-reacting to Whitmer's actions. The first was an ambush, the second was her being governor of her state. Not seeing any such excuses for Newsome though - just a tool.
