- Holy shiitake! Trump fired Shira Perlmutter, the Director of the US Copyrights Office apparently because she refused to let Elon Musk raid the place to steal author’s intellectual property rights democrats-cha.house.gov/media/press-...

- Same page. ); Assume you mean she got canned because the 𝙢𝙪𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙡𝙖𝙙𝙞𝙚 was denied access (as he should've been; just doing her job, so no fireable offense). Per the statute, the office only holds the work; it does not own same, so cannot legally provide it to others without the author's approval.

- Yeah, like Charles Addams "Centaur VW" in the '67 "Think Small" book the auto manufacturer put out. Or, putting the title in the cartoon itself, like Revilo's (correction ?) great "Employees Must Wash Hands" sign in the bathroom, a guy in a smock slowly soaping a pair mounted near the sink.

- ? You're just trolling, right? While that disgraced and disbarred lawyer may superficially 𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙚𝙢𝙗𝙡𝙚 a ferret, he is, alas, a very poor specimen of Homo Sapiens. Hard to pass up using 𝙢𝙪𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙡𝙖𝙙𝙞𝙚 as it's close in spelling to the name of that crazy S. African Nazi pillaging our data. Taxonomy joke!

- What about books? Long time skiffy reader; just now getting to Arthur Clark's first novel, 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙎𝙖𝙣𝙙𝙨 𝙤𝙛 𝙈𝙖𝙧𝙨 (1951). Known for 2001 (1968, published after writing the screenplay for Kubrick), but 𝙍𝙚𝙣𝙙𝙚𝙫𝙤𝙪𝙨 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙍𝙖𝙢𝙖 (1973) and 𝙁𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙩𝙖𝙞𝙣𝙨 𝙤𝙛 𝙋𝙖𝙧𝙖𝙙𝙞𝙨𝙚 (1979) are super good too. Best? Who can say?
