- The President is explicitly and specifically barred from personally taking foreign payments in our Constitution. Shame on every single person in Congress who, with the duty to defend our Constitution, chooses to abandon us.
- The decision by our Congress to abandon enforcing our Constitution—which explicitly and specifically bans this act—is a historic stain on America.
- This is a false, even deranged statement. Imports are the mutually beneficial exchange of capital for goods. If that is ‘losing money’, then you ‘lose’ every time you buy groceries. Vast power wielded in total incompetence is harmful to every American.
- This is accurate. As @charlesjkenny.bsky.social of @cgdev.org has noted, the data we have support the conclusion that the reckless and illegal obliteration of USAID will cause deaths worldwide, particularly of children. —> www.marketplace.org/story/2025/0...

- Reposted by Michael ClemensThe statement is decidedly gloomier than in March. Says uncertainty about the outlook had "increased further" and that "the risks of higher unemployment and higher inflation have risen."
