- All happy lives are alike; every ruined life is ruined in its own way. But losing your job because you threatened to kill a former Democratic primary candidate for Minnesota State House on BlueSky for saying Star Wars wasn’t politically sophisticated is fascinating even by ruined life standards.
- The virgin Democrat: w-we must save Americans from the consequences of their own actions... The chad moderate Republican: I'm gonna crash the markets and if Trump wants to fire me, he's gonna have to drag me out of the Fed at gunpoint.
- These sanctions are targeted, not broad-based; there's no real reason not to oppose them, since they lack collateral damage and may be successful (sanctions on Joseph Kabila probably led to his decision not to seek re-election).
- Apparently Magnitsky sanctions on Georgia's Russian-controlled government is imperialism or something so I'm gonna keep making "horseshoe caucus" jokes until they finally cut this shit out www.govtrack.us/congress/vot...
