I understand the desire for Dems to fight — I really do — but I would also argue that one of the best things Democrats did in Trump’s first term was remind the American people that not everyone is fucking crazy, that there is a sane party out there.
What would you like to see Dems do differently?
Flood the media with dems countering the lies.Explain how the tariffs will harm Americans, etc. Keep calling him out on his lies. Don’t just hint about his loyalty to Putin, be specific and direct. Don’t let them succeed in convincing them that what they’re seeing is not real. Show and tell!
