- I'm one of them, and am a DC taxpayer. None of this is perfect but if we let this opportunity get away, we'll have to spend decades staring at a dilapidated lot and endless parking areas - like happened with the McMillan site until it finally got developed like 30 years later.

- An important reminder that trans and intersex folks' fates are linked here - absolutely NONE of this garbage from RFK and his goons acknowledges the lives of intersex people.
- My hot take is that RFK and his cronies fucked up by positioning conversion therapy as the alternative to actual health care. More folks know and are disgusted by "pray the gay away" camps than even know what gender-affirming care is. You fight from your position of greatest strength.
- Stripping health care from young folks that EVERY doctor knows is needed and can ONLY be offered with parental consent and replacing it with fancy words that boil down to "pray the gay away" is a level of evil and stupid even I didn't think we'd get to this quickly.
