Sound and smell! They're two of the most evocative senses, for me. For instance, certain voices/tones provoke emotion in a way that can't be explained adequately. It's a delicious challenge to take on in writing. In life, I sometimes draw upon the memory of familiar tones when needed. It's helpful!
