Ultimately I don't think it matters what the protest was about. It was ineffective anyway but also asinine, badly planned and highly dangerous.

If hours after, no one is quite clear what you were even protesting I think it is safe to say that it was poorly executed.

Yes, that's what I meant by ineffective: not that he failed to rope anyone in, but that he failed to communicate his message.
