- It was hot, so I made a cold chicken Mediterranean-ish leek and potato soup.🍽️ Added shitake mushrooms for umami and tomato with a base of basic medi herbs. Was good hot and cold.
- Potato Lentil Leek Soup🍽️. Best picture I could get of it. It has coconut milk. I added fennel which wasn't in the recipe. It was a cold day. I had to put in the ladle so it wouldn't fog up the camera. (See picture 2) Was delicious. The Gaussian effect is because it was steaming hot.
- I struggled to take pictures of this recipe🍽️ because every time I put it out in a community setting it disappears. www.tumblr.com/kimyoonmiaut...
- Adoption🥚 used for unethical things. Adoption trauma and entrenched language trigger warning. www.youtube.com/watch?v=NlgV...
- I need to figure out how to condense a 3 month trip from Bolivia to England into ~3,000 words. TT
- Actors talk about how the character they play become kind of one with them, but for me it goes in the opposite direction. I might start with a character closer to who I am and then the more I write them, the more they deviate, have opinions I don't share and then fall away from me. #WritingCommunity
- #Worldbuilding Is there a food in one of your countries all the other countries find disgusting? Was it a struggle food?
- Iunno about other Adoptees🥚 But sometimes I have fantasies about what my other life would have been like, if you know, I was never given up for adoption and my birth family wasn't crushed by imperialism.
- I read a #Romance book series where I hoped the characters would break up and end up happier for it. But it was a US-written story, so it didn't happen. TT It wasn't a HEA for me.
- I've noticed that recently US people have been moving away from liking absurdism as much as say, in the 1960's towards more subversive and drier humor? #WritingCommunity People don't automatically connect the dots to absurdism story structure as quickly either? I guess tastes change?
- I don't get why agents like to say, "Don't front load", but then at the same time the same agents are saying things like "Give me only 1 chapter". #Askanagent #amquerying #WritingCommunity "Follow 3-act" And then... "But nothing happened." O.o; Which is it? Make up your mind.
- This is a summary of why you need to do a reverse image find on the items you intend to buy. lol 1,000 USD?!
- Sometimes a character's absence says more about them than their presence. #Character #WritingCommunity
- Spoilerless #DoctoWho notes on latest episode: I put in griot, understand Black Barbershop culture and a note that this is thematically in answer to the last episode. I'd prefer credit if you're going to take the ideas in this tumblr post. www.tumblr.com/kimyoonmiaut...
- So I've watched #Romance dramas where people are screaming for the characters to break up already, and while the characters (since this is #Chinesedramas / #Koreandramas) do break up in the end, makes everyone happy, the characters are moving on and have learned something, but are miserable.
- In about 2008-ish I watched a bunch of Bollywood moves (on reccs exchange with an Indian friend of mine). For a variety of reasons I had to quit fora while, came back to them and found that a lot had changed. O.o; Bollywood is a rapidly changing market. Tollywood too.
- For #DoctorWho's latest episode BTW, if you read about Griot before you watch the episode, and a few particularly Yoruba and Igbo folktales, the story will make a bit more sense. Beyond that, you should kinda know Black Barbershop culture? #WritingCommunity
- Iunno why people still think Biracial children look exactly 50% of their parents? But when it's people of the same race they are 100% confident in saying a child looks more like one parent than the other. WHY? It's a gripe I have with how people write genetics in books too. #WritingCommunity #Anthro
- So, Adoptees🥚, 23andMe is claiming Chapter 11. There should be a notice sent to your e-mail. Please readit CAREFULLY and make sure you are not about to lose any chance of getting a claim against the company. Even if you closed your account (which you should have downloaded all the data from).
- One thing I can't believe about #Tolkien 's world is that humans wouldn't try to bang a dwarf. I get that Tolkien tried to base Dwarves somewhat on Jews... though this is precarious, but dude, even Jews deviated. Have you met humans? #WritingCommunity #Worldbuilding
