I like the pinstripes and the way the coat looks like a giant shirt, I think that's a nice way of playing with the tailoring/dandy theme without actually wearing a suit

weirdly, considering that some of his actual clothes are in the exhibit that inspired this gala, I don't love this look? I think all the strong shapes and even stronger contrasts are drawing attention to one specific button in the middle of his torso
