- The thing about Rachel Reeves I really don’t understand is a seeming total lack of interest in system-wide tax reform. UK tax system is riddled with cruft, Labour needs money, UK needs growth.
- This is a brilliant and fun column by @chrisgiles.ft.com that uses EV subsidies and salary sacrifice to explain a big flaw in our tax system.

- Their commitments to not raise major taxes means that the taxes they do raise are highly regressive and growth-destroying (e’ers NICs the perfect example)
- D'y'know, when I first came out - this is relevant; stay with me - I overshot by A LOT for a year. Like, I had to be the gayest supergay gay. Which is totally fine - no judgment. It just wasn't me. After a while, I found my authentic self. Seeing Starmer cosplay bigotry today, I thought about that.
- Quite a lot to unpack there. I mean, though you didn’t end up as Dame Edna, you *were* still gay. So, although Starmer may not be Farage, he’s still…

- Can we just tow Reform, Labour and the Tories out to Rockall and sink them with naval gunfire please?
