I’m an OT & I can tell you that Speech Therapists are worth their weight in gold! They are also a very small profession.
Yep. I work at a large health care system, and our entire business model requires medicaid patients for scale. If Medicaid goes, so will much of our services.
I’m an SLP also. Medicaid reimbursement is pretty low and you essentially are doing it for free. The rate is less than half of what you would get otherwise. Shocking isn’t it??
