- Long walk yesterday along Cleveland Way from Scarborough to Hayburn Wyke waterfall. Navigating all the death stairs was worth it for the stunning views. Then walked back along the cinder track to Scarborough. Not quite as scenic but no death stairs to contend with!

- When covid hit, my ex had a home office and I had to use one of the kids' bedrooms before setting up a desk in the main bedroom. Since moving out, I spent the last 3 years WFH sat on my bed with a laptop. I don't have a dedicated space to eat and live let alone work!

- Beautiful day for a long walk to see the bluebells at Nostell Priory. Over 23k steps later I'm rewarding myself with a wine 🥂
- The 18 year old cashed in his Child Trust Fund today. It was a great scheme introduced by the last Labour government and especially helpful for poorer families like mine.
- Life has been hard recently. I'm facing challenges I didn't know existed a few months ago. I let my health slide, drank far too much and felt like crap. I've now cut down on alcohol, eat well and go for long walks. Simple changes can make a huge difference and I feel loads better 😊

- The DWP have assessed me as capable of looking for work despite being a single parent, carer for an autistic child and home educator as said autistic child can't attend school. I have a commitments review appt next week and I'm terrified. If we get DLA this will all stop but could be waiting months.

- I don't know. I've been told I have to attend the appt and I can explain everything then. It just feels so unfair and cruel. I don't need this extra stress on top of everything else I have to deal with.
- Weight loss this week: Almost 4 pounds! 3 pounds 11 ounces to be exact. This is just from walking and staying in a calorie deficit. Sometimes the simplest methods yield the best results 😊
- As a newcomer to the world of disability benefits (specifically DLA for a child), I'm shocked at how bad it is. I'm used to UC where it's all online. You have to apply for DLA on a paper form of 40 pages, current wait time for a decision is approx 20 wks. Can only contact dept by phone or letter.
- My fitness level isn't what it used to be and I'm struggling to run so I've gone back to basics and walking loads while trying to stay in a calorie deficit. Most of this is just walking to and from the farm where my daughter helps look after a pony but I'm absolutely knackered!
- On the rare occasions that I get some time to myself, there's only one thing for it. A long walk in the countryside 😊

- I've had a very productive day that has consisted of watching nothing but Four In A Bed and Come Dine With Me.
- Woman down! I've overdone it in a bid to get fit again and lose weight (I never learn). Out of action for the foreseeable, fitness plan in the bin. Laid up with the cat and will have to stay fat a bit longer.

- Right, back to some good old fashioned TV entertainment. Sick of Phoenix Nights not being available to stream so going old school with a DVD player and dusting off the old DVDs. Had to cadge an HDMI cable off the eldest but we got it set up. The technology involved is frightening!
