- To be clear, “businesses and countries primarily eat the tariff” is a clear and demonstrative lie. It is akin to saying businesses and countries primarily “eat taxes”. Tariffs are an *import tax* paid by consumers. The regime lies as readily as it commits crimes, which is to say all the time.
- Lutnick: The president has been negotiating with American retailers to accept “truths” as payment for Christmas presents this season. Every person unemployed by the tariffs can just print out the president’s Truth Social posts and use them in lieu of dollars to purchase goods, with a 1:1 exchange!
