- Turns out HBO Max subscribers didn’t want reality show slop, they wanted high quality scripted comedies and dramas… and that’s the first good news I’ve heard in a while.
- Because I've been writing about eastern Kentucky, I occasionally do a Bluesky search on the word "Appalachia". Each time I do, I'm floored by the lack of empathy and the sheer level of hatred so-called liberals have toward some America's poorest people.
- Why don't they take some personal responsibility and pull themselves up by their bootstraps? Because that's not how shit actually works? Yet its been their excuse and justification for generations. They voted their circumstances on all of us for decades and we are suppose to feel sympathy?

- I think even good movies feel more like tv now. I thought Sinners felt like 2 or 3 eps of a good HBO show.
- Truly, I don’t know about this party anymore. If only they fought fascism this hard.
- I keep seeing the term "post left" to describe people who are, well... just plain old traditional leftists. And the people using the term mean it as a slur, consider themselves the *actual* leftists, and in most cases are actually liberals.
