- The new algo adjuster on X is so funny to me
- Personal complaint but not sure I want to have the same surname as the leader of the opposition for three years
- Andor really not doing much subtext this season (it's so good)
- I know this is likely to be misinterpreted so I'll say my point is the subtext is so obvious it's really just the text.
- I would have assumed this would have been resolved years ago but turns out Lord of the Fries registered "Lord of the" as a trademark and it was accepted but now being challenged in court by Middle Earth Enterprises. www.hunthunt.com.au/insights/lor...
- I swear this was also mentioned late last year as well in the MSM - and was laughed out of court
- Yeah I googled and Age did cover the trademark decision but this is the appeal to the fed court.
- When I first saw it I thought it was a tribute to Lord of The Flies which it is a single letter away from.
- Yes. Interestingly still under copyright too. Don't think that similarity has been challenged
- How? Also burn it all down, “ oh I mistook this establishment for a Tolkien tribute eatery” Idiots
- A lot of these things hinge on small details. They already have the "Lord of the Rings" trademark so objected to the food place getting generic "Lord of the". But as the trademark ruling mentions there are a few different "Lord of the" so won't be confused.
