- Last week was double parsha of This has one of the Torah's most problematic verses, Leviticus 18.22. I am annoyed with everything I read that tried to redeem it or explain it away. I really prefer just to say it is one of the many places my religion taught the wrong thing.

- If I'm going to wrestle with this parsha, I'm gonna use that energy to make the case that this doesn't just mean you have to use accurate measurements, but also sensible units. This is just one reason why the American system of weights and measures is a sin against God.
- This parsha has "You shall be holy, for I, the Eternal your God, am holy" and "Love your neighbor as yourself", which is the right bridge to build here I believe. reformjudaism.org/learning/tor...
- If your main take way from this parsha isn't "be holy" or "make sure to let your trees grow for three years before you take their fruit" that's on you.
